Everyone in our group contributed to make this a suitable National History Day project. We all contributed from day 1 when we had to do our annotations, to doing research , the process paper, and finally putting the project together on this website. Each one of us gave in apart in adding our own annotations from different websites for the annotated bibliography. We all agreed that we would all go off on our own and do some research on Berry Gordy and we all brought our research together. Based on the research we found, we had Rakia put together the process paper because she is the only one that has internet access at home. Down to the final piece putting it on a website, from every little detail we all said what we think should be best for it. Primary Sources Primary Sources: we have a written document and signature of Berry Gordy-this is a priamry source because this is something that was signed when he was alive which he is still living until this day, we have our basic knowledge of him and we also have a document to show how Motown was supported by his parent Berry Gordy Sr. and Bertha Gordy. Secondary Sources: Our secondary sources is: A picture of Berry Gordy's studio , different artist that he worked with such as Stevie Wonder, Smokey Robinson and many more, and our last secondary source was a brief history on Motown - this is a secondary source because it showed us how Motown was created and who all stood behind Motown. Our most important source was the history behind Motown because if it wasn't for that, we wouldn't have really knew anything about Motown. We found this source on Cruz, Gilbert. "A Brief History of Motown." Www.time.com. N.p., n.d. Web. Our sources helped us better understand our topic because on every website we found out something new about Berry Gordy and it furthered our knowledge of how to be a true leader just as Berry Gordy is. |
